Build week is where a festival gets won or lost, and it is also where the crew gets ground down. Four days of load-in at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center, stage decks going up in the afternoon heat, security briefings at dawn, vendors trucking in over the top of everything, and by show day the people you most need sharp have been on their feet since Monday. A standing daily window, not thirty separate bookings
The efficient way to run crew support is a fixed window each day rather than individual appointments. You tell us the shift pattern, say a 6 a.m. security briefing, a stage call at 8, riggers off the deck around 3, vendors trickling through all afternoon, and we hold the same hours every day of the build so nobody has to be reminded. Department heads send people when the work allows. We tell you honestly how many people one PA can get through in an hour at a given mix of treatments, and if that number is short for your headcount, you book a second. What we will not do is quote you a throughput we cannot hit and then leave a queue standing in the sun. If the window has capacity left, we say so on the radio and someone fills it.
The 10-minute option is the one crews actually use
On a build, the treatment that gets taken is the one that costs the least time. A Methylcobalamin B-12 Energy Boost is $35 and takes about ten minutes. Lipo B, MIC plus B12, is $50 over 15. Those two carry most of a crew program, because a rigger can step off the deck and be back before the next piece flies. When someone genuinely needs fluid, the Basic Boost is $160 for 1000 ml over about 40 minutes and the Myer's Cocktail is $175 to $195 over 35. Those are worth pulling someone properly off shift for, and department heads should treat them that way rather than trying to squeeze one into a break. Shark Attack, the hangover drip, is $200 and comes up more often on the morning after the last show than during build, which is worth planning for if you are supporting a strike crew.
Where to put us on the site plan
Put us near catering and away from a work path. Crew will walk to food; they will not detour for anything else, and a station on a forklift route gets shut down by your own safety lead on day one. What we need is a shaded, level, enclosed-enough space with a door or a flap: a production office trailer, a spare vendor booth, a dressing room that is dark all week, or a 10 by 10 with sides in a quiet corner. Firm flooring matters more than square footage, because a chair on soft turf is a problem. We do not need power for the treatments. We do need to be on your radio channel and in the site plan you hand to security, because a PA carrying a locked supply case past a gate that has not been briefed is a delay you do not need on load-in day.
Fit for duty, and what we are not
Every crew member is screened individually before anything is given: health history, medications, allergies, and consent. That screening does not change because someone is in a hurry or because their supervisor sent them. We decline people we should not treat, and we tell them privately, not in front of their department. We are not your event medical provider. Heat illness, injuries, and anything that belongs to the medical tent belongs to the medical tent, and we will walk someone over rather than treat around a problem. We also do not hand out anything that would affect someone's ability to work a deck, drive a lift or run a gate. If your safety lead wants to understand exactly what a crew member is receiving before signing off on the program, put them on the scoping call; that conversation usually takes ten minutes and settles it.
Capping the budget on a multi-day crew program
Two ways to control cost. Either production pays and you cap it, with a set number of treatments per day, a list of eligible departments, or a per-day ceiling we stop at and tell you we have hit, or crew pay for themselves and production simply provides the space and the access. A hybrid also works: production covers B-12 and Lipo B for everyone on the crew list, and anyone who wants a full drip pays the difference. Multi-day is quoted as a run, not as separate days, because our staffing and travel are planned across the whole build. A travel fee applies on top of treatment prices and is confirmed when we quote your site and dates. We are self-pay only and do not bill insurance. Send your build calendar, your crew headcount by department, and which of those three models you want priced.

How many crew can one PA get through in an hour?
It depends entirely on the mix. Ten-minute B-12 injections move fast; 40-minute drips do not, and the honest constraint is chairs and monitoring, not needles. We will give you a realistic number for the mix you expect once we know your headcount and window, and if it does not cover your crew we will tell you to book a second PA rather than let a queue build.
